The Great North Run may have been cancelled, but St Oswald’s patients and families still need their community’s support. Whether you are looking for THE ULTIMATE Great North Run alternative, or simply wish to do something to support your local charitable hospice, you can help us make the number 13 not just lucky for some, but for everyone. There are two great ways to get involved and it's not just for runners! So what are you waiting for? Choose your challenge and get started:
No Great North Run this year? No problem! Take on ‘Challenge 13 Run’ at a time convenient to you and support the patients and families of St Oswald’s Hospice. Simply complete as many miles as you wish before 13th September! We even have a leaderboard for the more competitive amongst you.
Running not your thing? Don’t worry, we’ve got you! You can fundraise for us in any way you like! Check out our ideas for some inspiration or come up with one of your own.
Sign up to the challenge and set up your page. GivePenny works just like JustGiving, and your fundraising is paid directly to us. You can personalise and customise your page, adding fields where you wish - we recommend adding a profile picture when you set up for that personal touch. You have the option to connect apps and do cool things like add a Spotify playlist, where family and friends can donate to add a song and a message to inspire you and keep you going.
Share your challenge link on social media, group apps, and email. Update your page with your progress, and photos if you can, and regularly share to maximise your fundraising.
