Taking part in the Sit Up 67 challenge for The Benjamin Foundation's Summer of Hope will help more children and young people in Norfolk and Suffolk to improve their mental health and overcome their challenges around confidence and self-esteem following the pandemic.
67% of young people surveyed in January 2021 by Young Minds believed that the pandemic will have a long-term negative effect on their mental health.
By rising to the challenge and raising just £67 by completing 67 sit ups each day in July, together we can help more children and young people.
£20 can buy mindfulness resources to improve a young person’s wellbeing.
£40 could pay for an hour of one-to-one practical and emotional support for a young person to prepare for the world of work
£180 could pay for six sessions of emotional wellbeing support for a young person
£500 a group of young carers to go on trip and receive valuable respite from caring responsibilities

Take it gently
Be sure to seek advice on how to complete sit ups correctly to avoid hurting your back or neck. We do have a helpful video here by Ross at Real Lifestyle Services to help you. Remember that you don’t have to complete all 67 in one go. Why not start slowly and do five or ten at a time to begin with and grow from there, or even work up to completing 67 sit ups a day by the end of July. The great thing about this virtual challenge is you can complete it in a way that suits you best!
